our tulips

Last fall my old ward came and planted tulips in Lila's honor. They have come up and are so beautiful. A constant reminder of our little miss

spring break

We headed to St. George with my sister, her kids and my mom for Spring break. I was horrible at taking pictures this year but we had a lot of fun. Ruby loved being with her cousins. She was a lucky little girl that they were so kind to her.
These trips are always so bittersweet. Lila loved these Spring Break trips. She got enormous amounts of love from her cousins. She was always so happy. We went to Cinderella in the movie theaters and I felt her with me. The magic of the story and the kind princess. I could just see Lila in her sleeping beauty dress laughing and enjoying it all. I missed her so much I couldn't stop crying.

We went to Zions. It was so beautiful. Ruby did a great job on her first hike to the weeping wall. She was exhausted after and feel asleep in my arms in the shuttle. I felt like I had Lila for a moment. It was a sweet gift.

Running through the sprinklers

Doesn't low sixty weather sound perfect to run through the sprinklers? The neighborhood kids sure thought so.

build a bear

I am so behind at blogging. Truth be told I have been feeling quite blue these days and have had a hard time getting the motivation to sit down and write. But I am missing so many sweet moments! One such moment was when Ruby went with her cousins to build a bear. you may not be able to tell from these pictures but Ruby was in heaven. She loved every single second.

Her cousins are so sweet to her. They loved to help her all along the way.

Ten years.

On march 10th Quinn and I  celebrated our 10 year anniversary. It's crazy to look back on this last decade and think of all the things that we have gone through together. We have spent time just us becoming each other's best friends, getting our educations, working and traveling the world. We have become parents of the most beautiful and precious little angel who had to leave us far too soon. We became parents again to a crazy, spunky, and wonderful little spitfire. we have dealt with illness, death, infertility, and loads of other trials that most couples our age have not faced yet. And through it all Quinn has remained my best friend and my closest confidant. I don't know how in the world we would have gotten through this past decade if we didn't have each other and the friendship that we enjoy. I have been blessed. And the best thing about it is I know it. I am truly lucky. Love you penquinn.

This young couple taking engagement photos. I just want to hug them. They have no idea what's coming. (Which makes me nervous, will I say that about me now in ten years?) But they are full of hope. That has never changed and hopefully never will
