Champion

I got this in the mail today from Margot for Lila. This is her honorary baseball teams trophy. Talk about sweet! This will always be in her room as a reminder of wonderful people who love her.

Sleepovers.

This little lady has been sleeping in our room. Even though she seems like she's feeling a little better the past few days she still struggles a lot at night. The poor thing. We're constantly suctioning throughout tonight. Which means no one in our house is really sleeping. It also makes me wonder how much she's struggling through the night in her own room. Poor little  baby she's such a sweetheart. Never complains

Amazing

Since Lila's  infections are so bad they decided to send us home with a picc line. She Will have to be on IV antibiotics for two weeks. I am  very grateful that they are letting us go home but it's a little scary doing IVs. Just something new to learn right? The adventure of being Lila's mom.
When they put in the line we had to leave so it could be a sterile environment. Quinn decided to run home and I went up to the hospital. When I got here she was whimpering from the pain. I start to comfort her and she struggled to open her little swollen eyes, when she finally got them open she looked at me and gave me a small smile. Amazing. It broke my heart.

Transfer day

Feeling especially blessed today. I am feeling so honored to have Ruby in my life. A year ago today was my transfer date. I remember feeling so nervous when they implanted me with two embryos. I prayed and prayed that one would take. I remember being so nervous about doing anything! I laid flat on my back with lila for five days. Not even getting up to shower. I was not a pretty sight. After the first round of ivf didn't work I was so scared that my heart couldnt take another failure. We were overjoyed when two weeks later they said we were pregnant. A part  of us couldn't believe it. We didn't want to hope that a little one would enter our home again. It was just too much to bare if it didn't work out. Miss Ruby Quinn has been more than we could've hoped for she is our precious precious little gem

Thumb sucking
