Puerto Rico

It was so great to spend time with Josh and Nicky on this trip. We don't get to see them enough. We miss the Oregon clan so much already and are looking forward to seeing you soon!

In Puerto Rico we took a tour of an old fort and of the Rain forest. It was so incredible. The fort was right on the beach and had absolutely spectacular views of the ocean, you really could see just how amazing Puerto Rico is. After a ride through old town, which is so cool with all the different colored buildings, we ventured out to the rain forest. Our tour was so fun, although a little longer than we were planning. We drove all over the rain forest and even had the chance to walk through it for a bit. Absolute paradise!

Happy Birthday to Matt who got to celebrate on the ship. It was so fun to watch when we surprised him with a cake and got our whole section to sing happy birthday! I know that Matt just loved being the center of attention! ; )

The World Famous Magen's Bay

St. Thomas was by far my favorite port of call. It was absolutely breathtaking. We got to go on a Duck boat ( a boat that can be a boat and then turns into a car ) tour of the island which was really fun and interesting. Then we went to Magens bay, which was voted in the top ten of the worlds most beautiful beaches.

We all go to go on a personal van tour of St. Maarten. It was fun spending time together in the van. ( something that we got to do a lot on this trip ) we would tell stories and laugh, I almost thought being stuck in that van was the best part.

Curacao

Curacao was so fun! We all went to this beautiful beach that was in a little cove. It had gorgeous tropical fish and I even almost stepped on a sting ray! ( ok, little family joke, I'm a bit scared of the ocean and always nervous that I am going to step on something, so while I was walking with Gracie on my hip I swear that I almost stepped on a black sting ray with bright orange sides. As I was telling everybody of my near stung experience a pair of snorkeling goggles washed up on shore that were black with orange sides. It was my deadly sting ray. My nephews LOVED that. They teased me about it the rest of the trip) Curacao was great. I love the picture of Quinn playing with all the nephews in the ocean cause really that was what we did for hours! We loved being with those cute kids. It was very relaxing!

Aruba

Aruba was Quinn's favorite beach. It was beautiful. I loved the brightly painted buildings. It was so charming.

Adventure of the seas!

We had the greatest experience this past week. We got to go on a seven day cruise to the Caribbean with my whole family! It was so fun. I loved spending ten days with my family, its not something we get to do very often so it was such a treat. I adore my family and we always have a fun time together, this week was no exception. We went to Aruba, Curacao, St. Maarten, St. Thomas and Puerto Rico. I loved all the islands. They were Beautiful! It was so nice to get out of the winter weather here at home and spend our days in eighty degree weather by the ocean. It was just what I needed! Here's some pictures from the boat...

A Utah man am I !

Congrats to the Utah Utes winning the Sugar Bowl! What a fun game. I will be honest, I didn't think they would win but they pulled it off, beating the overly confidant Alabama 31 to 17! I felt like it was straight out of a movie. 89 percent of people polled on ESPN said that Utah would never win the Sugar Bowl, how rewarding to see them eat their words. Quinn even made it on channel two news for being an excited, and life long U fan. Way to Go Utes!

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year everyone! This year we spent new years with our good friends Tyler and Daphne and their kids Mitch and Lexi. We had so much fun playing games, eating good food and ringing in the new year with noise makers and a small fireworks display put on by Quinn and Ty. Thanks Quists for being great friends and for having us over, we love you guys.
