Happy Birthday!

It's Quinn's 28Th Birthday today! Yeah! Happy Birthday PenQuinn! I can't believe that I met you when you were only a young boy of 23. These are some pictures of when we first met ( we both look so young!), and of course one picture of the happiest day of my life. Quinn- thanks for being such a great husband and for being my best friend. You make me so happy. I hope that you had a great birthday and I hope you know how much you're loved!

fall!

One of my favorite things to do in the fall is to go see the witches at Gardner Village. A couple Saturdays ago I got a call early in the morning telling me that my mom and sister were coming to pick me up so we could go see the witches before I had to go to work, I was so excited! They really are so adorable! The grounds are so fun to walk, especially since we were the only ones there. Thanks for my early morning witch run!

Lucky to be alive!!!

On Monday I had one of the scariest experiences of my life! A woman ran a red light and hit me. The crash was so hard I don't remember a bit of it. I woke up to a woman holding my head in place and telling me not to move. The worst part was that sweet little Molly was in the car with me! She was fine, she had just a seat belt burn on her chest. The paramedics came and strapped a neck brace on me, put me in the ambulance and took me to the hospital. After a few hours of tests they told me that I was alright and that I could go. I feel so blessed that a bruise and a sore body were the worst of my injuries. It scares me to think that just a millisecond later it would have been my door that she plowed into, which I'm sure I would not have walked away from. Luckily the woman was fine to, amazing since she flipped her car! Unfortunately she doesn't have insurance and she was driving with a suspended license! This experience reminds me to take everyday as a gift. I feel so blessed to be alive!

There's always next year......

Our beloved Cubs lost to the Dogers last week! The worst part was that this was the year! They were doing so great, only to be swept in the first round of the playoffs. It was heartbreaking! Oh well there is always next year! 101 and counting!

First trip

My family was so excited to take new baby Calder to the Zoo today. Can't you tell from the photo's how enthralled he was? Oh well, the rest of us had fun!

friends

This week was a great week for seeing old friends! First our good friends Tory and Mo came into town for a family wedding and we got to catch up with them. It was so great to see them. Whenever they come in town we are just reminded how sad we are that they don't live here anymore!
Then I got to have dinner with the girls. Lindsey, Michelle, Chelsea, Barbara, Lyn, me, and Lindsey. It was so fun to catch up. I am always amazed by how much our lives have changed but how we are the same girls from ten years ago. It's so hard to coordinate schedules, so it was so nice that we got together. It was also fun to see Lyn and Lindsey, my Yale abode roomies who no longer live in the sate. We got to relive old stories when we were all under the same roof.
Then today I got to go to lunch with Liz and Tory. It is so nice to be with just the girls once and a while. It is a little bit like therapy!

A good husband knows how to bribe!

Well it's that time of year again. It's time for fantasy football. I hope I'm not the only wife who has to endure this horrid past time. This year though I fought back. I told Quinn that he needed to bribe me, and being the good husband that he is he did. He took me to Ruth's Chris for a romantic dinner and then gave me these gorgeous diamond hoops that I have been interested in. ( hopefully you can see them in the photo because that was a little awkward taking a picture of just myself. ) Then he told me that I could not complain the whole season. That's not happening. But I do love my bribe! Thanks Honey!
I found this web site called www.womenagainstfantasysports.com, if your husband is into fantasy you have to check it out! I got the cute t-shirt in the first photo there. It also shares horror stories and has support groups for wives. How funny! Go WAFS!
( I don't know why the first half of this post is a different color and underlined.)
