And so it begins

Fixing up our new house. This might take a while.

Wow

Such a miracle. I am in awe that ruby can hold her head up and that she can roll

Cold

My baby had a cold. A suction thirty times a night kind of a cold. Poor thing. She just has never ending gunk! (Sorry if that's gross, it's my life these days) she is so sweet, patiently struggling with the need to get a clear breath. It kills me. One night after much sleep deprivation I must admit I didn't hear her coughing for a few hours. Once I jumped up and ran to her room she was covered in gunk and had a bloody nose. I told her how sorry I was to which she responded with a dazzling smile. This kid is truly angelic.

Doctor office antics.

While waiting for Lila's appointment at the ophthalmologist Ruby became restless and I took her out if her seat to play. While kissing those scrumptious cheeks she decided to spit up all over me, down my shirt all into my hair. Everyone in the waiting room turned to look. I froze and tried to laugh it off to which my angel three year old thought was hilarious and started to laugh. A big full body laugh. Then I laughed for real. I love these girls.

Teaser.

Lila has been loosing some skills as of late. She hardly talks anymore and her favorite activity of chewing on her hands has become a speratic happening, so one day while chewing on her hands I quietly got out the camera to which she promptly stopped chewing. I waited patiently for her to start enjoying those yummy digits, finally Lila flicked her eyes over to me and just smiled. I swear she was teasing me. She loves to stop whatever she is doing once I get out the camera.  Little teaser.

Hello 2014

2014. I'm a little nervous to get to know you. Usually I am so ready to start a new year but 2013 was wonderful. Lila is still here and my baby ruby joined the family. I think her birth really healed my heart a bit and I am starting to be a more positive person. I can look at the future with a new sense of hope instead of dread. But there is that nagging little thought that this could be the year that takes my girl. Lila has had so many complications in the past few months that the wheels in my head have been turning. I can't imagine my life without this bright spirit in our home. And maybe I won't have to for a while, maybe 2014 will be full of joy, happiness, new beginnings and health. I hope so. But if not I hope that I can keep this new bud of positivity in my heart.
