ugh! I am so frustrated! We are having a hard time fitting Lila's right eye with contacts. The contacts that we keep trying bubble off her eye and she can blink them out, and every time we order in new ones it takes up to two weeks. Also Insurance has to OK the genetic testing before we can do blood work and they are dragging their feet. A nurse up at Primarys told me that they take up to a month to finally deny you. Then your doctor has to write a letter pleading your case before they take up to another month to OK it , then the tests take up to a month. Genetics can't even see us till April. It's a living nightmare. How can they say your child might have a syndrome and then not let you take the tests!!!??? I don't understand! In the meantime I am googling every syndrome under the sun and loosing hope that Lila will ever be normal. This is the hardest thing that I have ever done.
Side note: After I wrote this I called my insurance, apparently they never received a request from Primarys!!!

That is so frustrating!!!
Darling Kristi!
I have to tell you that I am beyond impressed and inspired by the way you are handling this incredible challenge. I know you Kristi. I know the love you have in your heart, I know the Lord knew Lila would be adored in your arms, and I know that there are reasons for these difficulties that we cannot even grasp. Hang in there sweetheart, and remember that in spite of everyone else's agenda and timeframes, and stupid red-tape, the Lord is really in charge. He loves Lila even more than you do, and He is mindful of the huge challenges in her life, and in yours. Keep up the good fight! Please let me know if there is anything I can do, even if you just need to rant! Love you! Laura
Stop googling!! :) Someone needs to take your computer away...;)j/k I'm sorry, Kristi. Love you.
kristi, remember all the prayers still coming your way! Keep your chin up and keep the faith. Love you.
it does sound so frustrating! im so sorry. we're praying for you and sweet lila. you need to keep posting pictures of that beautiful girl!
unfortunately, you have time to get it figured out and approved by then, if they can't see you til April. Just take it one step at a time and I'm sure that it'll get approved before your appointment. I have faith that all of this will get easier for you, although I'm sure it hardly feels like it when you have one hurdle after another. You will reach the finish line and it'll be worth all the frustration. You are my favorite worry wart, and you are a very good mother. But no more googling, you will drive yourself crazy.
Hang in there!!! We love you guys!! Thanks for spending time with us, hopefully those moments can help you feel a little less stressed...I daily am inspired by your strength, Lila is blessed to have you as her mom.
