Enjoying the tulips.....

This week I was reminded why I have the great husband that I do. I have been feeling a bit panicked lately about getting going on adding to our family. I would rather not have a period of time where I am no longer a mother. All options of how to get some more little spirits in our home are going to take a while and so I feel like we need to start some process, whatever that may be. The dear researchers in the UK are just sitting on that vital information of where the Vicci gene is and will not release it till they publish and so we can't, at this point, start on invitro. So one evening while discussing how many times that we could actually afford to do invitro I asked Quinn at how many kids he would feel like our family was complete. Quinn looked at me and told me that he felt complete the moment we got married and any children that we would be blessed to have would be a bonus. Talk about being humbled. I have spent far to many nights thinking that we have been shorted in some way. I feel so blessed with what I have. If Lila is the only child to bless our home how lucky we have been the past 16 months to have her. How blessed I have been to be a mother at all.
And so tonight my angel and I are cuddled under a twinkling tree listening to beautiful Christmas music (Thanks Nikki) and I am feeling overwhelmed by my blessings and of feelings of peace. I feel like I am walking through Holland tonight and I am enjoying my tulips. You special needs moms will know what I mean....
Thanks Quinn for always giving me perspective.
